It’s revolting. I hate hearing it, I hate hearing the roars of the crowd, I hate feeling like there are so many people that would do anything, absolutely anything, in the name of some bullshit, arbitrary borders.
Aurgh.
oooooh yeah. all of this.
starting the morning with the anthem at school and having to stand (otherwise i’ll get lynched for being unpatriotic) makes me sad.
i miss my old school where my teachers let me sit during the anthem, or be late for class, or or or.uughgghgh
What the fuck. Are you actually required? Because I’m fairly sure that’s illegal.
Whenever we do the anthem or the ~pledge of allegiance~ at school, I will sit down and cross my arms and assume the best bitch face I have. That shit is not happening. Once in middle school a teacher told me to stand up and do the pledge, and I whipped out the Student Rights & Responsibilities handbook, handed it to her, and quoted word for word the section where it says that students have the right to sit or stand silently during the pledge.
